Short version: Keypable runs on your PC. It does not track you.

The short version

Keypable is a desktop app that runs on your computer. It has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or telemetry. Almost everything the app does stays on your PC. The one time information leaves your computer is a single online activation when you first run the paid app — and even that stores only your purchase email and a scrambled fingerprint of your PC, never your identity. After activation succeeds, Keypable never phones home again.

What Keypable stores on your computer

Keypable creates local files next to the app or in your Windows profile:

DataWhy
Settings (language, colors, emulation mode, options)Remember your preferences
Game profilesAuto-apply your settings per game
Per-controller and calibration dataFix drift and remember each pad's settings
Diagnostic log filesHelp troubleshoot connection or driver issues on your machine

These files are never sent to us unless you choose to share them — for example, by emailing a log file to support.

What Keypable accesses on your computer

To act as a controller host, Keypable may:

  • Read input from your game controllers and sim gear over USB or Bluetooth
  • Create a virtual Xbox 360 / DualShock 4 device so games see a standard pad
  • Use Morph to hide your physical controller from games, so they never see two pads
  • Detect the name of the game in the foreground to apply the right profile
  • Open Windows Bluetooth settings when you use the pairing wizard (Windows handles pairing itself)

Keypable does not access your contacts, photos, browsing history, or microphone content (except the optional DualSense headset routing you turn on yourself).

Activation — the only data that leaves your PC

The paid app is activated once, the first time you run it. To do this, the activation service stores a small, minimal record:

  • Your purchase email — used only to send you a 6-digit code if you ever move Keypable to a new PC.
  • A hashed hardware fingerprint — a one-way scrambled code made from a few basic details of your PC. It cannot be reversed into your real hardware IDs and cannot identify you personally. Keypable never reads or stores raw hardware IDs.
  • Activation and transfer timestamps — so the two-machine limit and transfer limits work.

Your license key and any transfer codes are never stored in readable form — only one-way hashes of them are kept. There are no repeated online checks and no time limits: once a PC is activated, losing internet never stops the app. If you buy Keypable on Steam, activation is confirmed silently through Steam and there is nothing to type.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. Ever.

Steam and third parties

  • Steam: if you buy through Steam, Valve may collect purchase and platform data under Valve's own Privacy Policy. That is Steam's processing, not Keypable uploading your data.
  • Email for transfer codes: when you request a new-PC transfer, the 6-digit code is delivered by an email provider on our behalf. Only your email address and the code are involved.
  • No telemetry SDK of any kind is bundled in the app.

If a future version ever adds optional crash reporting or update checks, this policy will be updated before that ships, and you will be told in the app or release notes.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your PC, you are in control: you can delete Keypable's settings, profiles, logs, and cache folders, disable any optional feature in Settings, or uninstall the app at any time. Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and Saudi PDPL), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the limited personal data we hold — which for Keypable means your purchase email and activation record. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond.

Children

Keypable is a general PC utility, not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data through any account (there are none).
